I am able to translate skills I’ve learned in the past into valuable design skills, e.g., situational awareness, listening comprehension, and course correcting quickly in high stress situations.

Working with small & complicated technical devices, I learned how to problem solve & think critically about technical failures. I love solving puzzles, my focus is always on the details. I learned to interpret technical concepts & relay them to non-technical representatives with compassion & empathy.

Telling stories & listening to other people’s stories makes me feel connected. I strive to consider all sides of a problem and create informed solutions. I’ve spent a lot of my free time learning to listen, observe and write about people in creative writing classes. This helped hone my observation & listening skills.
